Cacao Ceremonies
Have you been wanting to deepen your personal connection with yourself, and don't know how to begin?
At Wiser Beans Chocolate, we have found that Ceremonial Cacao and Cacao Ceremonies are both a delicious and enriching experience to do just that.
We invite you to discover your own inner wisdom and guidance with our help and support. Wiser Beans Chocolate's Ceremonial Cacao is created with the intention to be a tool to use to deepen your connection with yourself and with others. Discover yourself and tap into your inner guidance, one cup of Cacao at a time.
Hearts and bars are also available for those who prefer to eat the Cacao rather than drink it
This allows for Cacao to be served in situations where there is no kitchen, providing the facilitator/participants a more seamless experience. This is possible because All Wiser Beans Chocolate is prayed upon and made with love from start to finish.
The Experience of In-person Cacao Ceremonies: What to Expect
Each ceremony has its own unique flow depending on the collective intentions and energies of the group, as well as the style of the facilitator.
Ceremonies will begin with an opening share, in which we familiarize ourselves with each other's names and faces. The facilitator will guide us through partnered activities, meditations, sound baths, and group singing. Those who feel called to dance are welcome to during the music/singing portion of the ceremony.
Prior to closing the ceremony space, we will all take a moment again for participants to share thoughts about their experience, should they feel open to share.
What is a Cacao Ceremony?
Ceremonial Cacao is nurtured from bean to heart with love, prayer, and intention. The natural properties of Cacao that stimulate more blood flow throughout the body also act on the heart to open it, energetically, allowing for deeper connections to take place, with oneself, with others, and with nature.
At Wiser Beans Chocolate, we prepare our Ceremonial Cacao with simple ingredients, pure intention, and songs of prayer. Wiser Beans Chocolate is committed to making Cacao, widely known as heart medicine, available to those who feel called to explore the depth of their relationship with themselves and with others.
Important Note:
Please limit your caffeine intake the day of the Cacao Ceremony and refrain from taking stimulants 3 hours prior, as Cacao contains caffeine and may result in a feeling of overwhelm when partaking in it. We also recommend a light meal prior to the event to prevent extreme nausea.

What is Ceremonial Cacao?
A Cacao Ceremony is a dedicated time in which individuals harness the healing properties of Cacao to help support meaningful connections in their lives. The Ceremonial Cacao is melted down and served in a cup for the participant to connect with and consume.
The main focus of a Cacao Ceremony is to tap back into our own senses of guidance and intuition. It's a way to practice being mindful and taking care of one's self; to discover and have an understanding of ourselves; to know what we live by, what values we have, what beliefs we have.
The aim of a Cacao Ceremony is to provide a space for participants to explore the edges of their comfort zones. Participants can witness themselves through partnered activities, introspection during meditations and/or sound baths, and authentic expression like singing and dancing! Music, singing, and dancing are the heart of Cacao Ceremonies, as they are common amongst all cultures throughout the world and have the ability to bring people of all different walks of life together.
With the natural heart-opening properties of cacao, individuals often experience a heightened ability to relate to themselves, to others, and to nature with more kindness and compassion. When the heart center is activated and opened, giving and receiving love comes with more ease.
Participants of all experience levels are invited to attend Cacao Ceremonies, whether held by local facilitators or within the comfort of your own home. While we encourage everyone to engage in activities that aid in broadening their comfort zones, the reality is that it takes courage to be seen and express yourself authentically in a group of new friends. If an individual feels called to step out of certain activities, they are welcome to simply observe. That being said, it is highly encouraged to participate, as true connection happens when we are brave enough to be vulnerable.
Each Cacao Ceremony is unique, and unfolds perfectly in its own way based on the intentions and energies of those who participate.
How to Prepare
for an In-person Cacao Ceremony
Step 1: Once you've decided to attend a Cacao Ceremony, consider what you wish to explore or get curious about during the ceremony. This can be done through journaling, meditating, or being mindful in your everyday life. Example: I am most curious about deepening my relationship with others, so I will journal about why this is important to me at this stage of my life.
Step 2: Set an intention—a word, statement, or question that will help guide your experience.
Example: My intention is to connect with others authentically.
Step 3: Come to the ceremony with an open heart, and an open mind. Be willing to embrace any and all emotions, insights, and reflections that may arise.
Step 4: Be prepared to explore the boundaries of your comfort zone!
